Sachin Ambat hails from Thane, Maharashtra, and lives there. He studied M.B.A. in Operations Management at Swayam Siddhi College of Management and Research and also studied at Dnyansadhana College. Sachin Ambat started as a writer in April 2013 and was associated with an advertisement production company called Swapn Swaroop Creations. There, he worked for various ad films and short films as a screenplay and dialogue writer.

Later, while working in Swapn Swaroop Creations, he acted in some productions, apart from being a writer. Sachin Ambat also worked as a video editor and sound designer and has edited various types of content for the production company. He is also a talented lyricist and has penned some songs as well. Apart from directing the 2018 film, Sachin Ambat directed the 2017 film 4 GB and the 2019 short film Biryani.
