Harish Baraskar

Harish Baraskar is an actor & a director based in Mumbai,India. Harish was born on 4th august 1986. He is very passionate about acting.  He started his career from theaters. He completed his MBA in 2011 and he got a job. But he was not satisfied in doing 9 to 5 job. He was in dilemma of doing job or acting. Then he convinced his family members and decided to be a commercial actor. From there his journey in acting was started. In 2005 he got the opportunity to act in a play ‘Janata Raja’. This was his first step towards success. His debut feature film as an actor Ghuma (2016) was screened at (PIFF 2016) Pune. This movie is awarded by Best Viewer’s choice award in 2017.

 He has acted in 12 Marathi & Hindi plays & 1 physical theatre based performances. He is known for his acting performances in 30+ Marathi, Hindi, English Films, short films, Web Series. He performed at THESPO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, Prithvi Theatre. Harish has established ‘Nirmit Rangmanch Sanstha’ in 2015 in which about 50 students having interests in acting are learning. Harish has a vast experience as a screen actor but when he asked to choose between a play and a film, his choice is always a play, as he started his journey of acting from a play. He acted in film Aruna, Chepas, Triple Seat, Girtaab etc.

 In 2020 he acted in feature film Firastya in as lead Character Role (Bappu) Later in 2021 he acted in film SAVITRYAYAN in as lead role satyaa. His Special Achievements are Best actor award in Pratibimb film festival (Tajmahal), Best actor award (Silver Medal) in Maharashtra Rajya Natya Competition 2016 in the play Khatara, Best actor award in one act play Driver in Purushottam Karandak, Pune 2017, Best actor award in Dirghank "Khatara" in Raja Paranjape Karandak, Pune 2017 and many more.
