Dimple Shah is a Gujarati actress known for her performance in Bollywood movies and Indian television series. She has worked in the film industry as well as in television industry for quite a long a time. She has played well in few dramas and plays too. Dimple always aspired to be an actress. At a very young age, we saw dimple in the movie ‘Afsana Pyar Ka’ in the year 1991.
She made a cameo in the movie starring Amir Khan. 'Zabaan Samabhal Ke' was the show from which she got recognition in the television industry. It was of comic genre and ran successfully from the year 1993- 1997 on DD Metro. Dimple played the character of Rupali – a highly talkative Gujarati girl. She was a part of season 2 and performed for seven episodes. The episodes were titled as ‘The mystery of the frog’, ‘Exam Time’, ‘The International Beggar’, ‘The Gurukul Experience’, ‘The Beauty Contest’, The Missing Lady’ and ‘The Comedy of Errors’.

’ in 2004, aired on Zee TV. After Dimple got married, she took a short break from the industry. She has two daughters Rishita and Reva. Whenever interviewed she accepts her love for comedy and humor. She says that ‘acting is involved in her blood’ and ‘it is something you are born with.’ She prefers working in Gujarati series and is equally a part of Hindi and Marathi cinema. She was a part of Shekar Suman’s show ‘Movers and Shakers’. It was here that we discovered her love for mimicry.
Although Dimple was away from films due to busy personal life, she was part of many plays and drama in the meanwhile. She enacted in the popular Gujarati Natak ‘To Karo Shri Ganesh’ and ‘Haila Ramila Pachi Aavi.’ She played in the serial ‘Resham Dhank and ‘Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka’ as well. ’ on Sab TV. She played the role of village girl Jyotsna. Dimple has entertained audiences with her roles of subtle humor with some Gujarati fervor.
