Mahavir Shah is a notable TV and stage actor, known for the Hindi and Gujarati cinema. He was born on April 5, 1960, in Mumbai, India. While doing a two-month tour in the US on August 31, 2000, he died in a car accident. The actor was said to survive the collision but wasn’t able to avoid another speeding vehicle that caused his sudden death. He was 40 at that time and was survived by his wife, Chetna Shah, and his two children. In a career that spans over 30 years, he has done more than 50 films and became popular for donning villainous and character roles.
He did prominent roles on stage in several Gujarati plays like Saathi, Janmadata, Sakharam Binder, Khel, etc. He also directed a play entitled Huj Taro Ishwar. Some of his notable performances were from the movies Ankush (1986), Tezaab (1988),

Aside from acting on the silver screen, he also performed in television serials such as Jivan Mrityu and Dastaan. He was last seen as Shiva in the Bollywood drama film, Aaj Ka Andha Kanoon, which was helmed by Amit Chandra Sahay.
