Boloram Das

Boloram Das is an Indian TV actor. He was born in Guwahati, Assam. He has worked in different languages, Hindi, English, and Assamese. He finished his early education from Lal Singh Academy, Kharghuli, Guwahati, Assam, and graduated in biochemistry from B. Boorooah College. He was in association with a theatre group, Jyoti. In 1992, he won Best Child Actor in the 25th Allahabad Theatre Festival and later achieved a Gold Medal in Mimicry during Assam Youth Festival organized by Guwahati University. After completing his graduation, he moved to Delhi in 2004. Das worked as a sales executive in his struggling years. In 2006, Das joined the National School of Drama. In 2010, Boloram joined Wizcraft International Company. The company later started a new venture, the Kingdom of Dreams, in which he acted in plays.

During his time in the company, he acted in a play, Zangoora, and other 800 shows until 2013, when he moved to Mumbai. He acted in over 30 plays and even directed three others that included “Romeo and Juliet.” In 2013, Das played a small role in an English movie, The Black Russian, directed by Carlos Valle and Paul Sidhu. The following year, he debuted in Bollywood with the movie, The Badlapur Boys. After that, he played small roles in movies like Gabbar is Back, High Jack, and Karwaan.     

Besides working in Hindi films, Das continued to work in Assamese and English films. His first Assamese movie was “Antareen” that released in 2017. That same year, he appeared in another Assamese movie, Beautiful Lives. His latest release in the English language was Interconnect, from 2018. Apart from working on the silver screen, Das acted in short films too in both Hindi and Assamese language. Some of his notable works are Do Ke Teen? (Hindi), Liakat (Assamese), etc.

He has acted in Web Series like Boygiri (2017) and Typewriter (2019). He has appeared in commercials like Parle Goldstar Cookies with Bollywood Superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, Hajmola with Ajay Devgn, Swiggy food delivery app, Tata Sky, and Ram Bandhu Papad. He met his to-be wife, Tina Bhatia, during his time in the National School of Drama. They finally married in 2014. The actor won many accolades and awards at a very young age. He received two prominent awards before going into films. His first award as a film actor was for the Assamese film, Antareen. He won supporting Actor at 7th Assam state film award from the Government of Assam in the year 2015. He received two state nominations for Best Actor Nomination in Prag Cine Award for the film Antareen in the year 2016 and Best Actor Nomination in Prag Cine Award for the film “Beautiful Lives” in the year 2017.
