Chandni Toor is an Indian actress and VJ, popularly known for her work in movies and TV shows like Mahul Theek Hai (1999), Mela (1997), Kkusum (TV 2001-05), and
(2001). The daughter of Lt. Colonel Malkiyat Singh Toor, she is currently married to Subrata Roy’s son Semanto Roy and has two children. The initial stages of her career saw Chandni participating in lots of beauty contests which eventually helped her in winning Miss Chandigarh in the mid '90s. After featuring in some Punjabi music videos post her victory, she was for the film Mela (1997) by Sukhminder Dhanjal and bagged the award for Best Actress in a Debut Role at one of the major regional film festivals. Anchoring was something that she was always interested in and wanted to try her luck. Hence, she took up this part for one of the talk shows on Punjabi TV. Soon, she started her career as a VJ for shows on Zee TV.
