Aakash Ghoshal is a well-known sound designer from the Indian cinema. He primarily works in Hindi short films. Aakash was born on 9th February 1996 in Kolkata. He pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and learned orchestration and jazz music from Berklee online. Akash started as a sound designer for the short film A Gift, then got opportunities to work with renowned directors and producers from the industry. He has worked in the music department of various short films like Afternoon with Julia in 2016, Action Area 11B in 2018, Sajna: A Poignant Story of Ardour in 2018, Dhupkathi in 2018, Bubble in 2019, Meal in 2020, It’s Complicated in 2020, Midnight Mirror in 2020, Rickshawala in 2021, and Laali in 2022. Akash is known for his unique talent in sound design. He has won several awards for experimental sound designs in various short films. Akash won the Best Sound Design Award for Meal at the Filmingo International Short Film Festival. He won the Best Sound Design Award for Midnight Mirror at the Ritu Rangam Film Festival in Kolkata and at the Clubby Mini Movie Festival in Bengaluru.Â
