Mitali Choudhary is an Assamese singer with expertise in folk and classical music. She was born on 10th January 1960 at Ranibari, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam. Her husband is former AGP legislator Dilip Saikia Sonowal, and they have a daughter together. Mitali got huge recognition at a very early age and even started singing abroad. She became a familiar name amongst every music fan. She mainly sings in the languages Assamese and Hindi. Apart from these two languages, she has sung in many regional languages like Oriya, Marathi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati etc. She is a versatile musician with a sweet and melodious voice. She has worked in many genres like modern, pop, and bhajan songs.Â
She has sung for over 25 Assamese movies as a playback singer.
