Diksha Thapa

Diksha Thapa is a Nepali singer who is better known by the name Deeksha J Thapa. She was born on 1 September 1996 in the city of Dharan in the Koshi Province of Nepal. Her father’s name is Vijay Thapa and her mother’s name is Gaytri Joshi Thapa. Deeksha J Thapa has completed her college-level education and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Residential Business School in Lalitpur. Deeksha J Thapa has been interested in Music from a very young age and decided to take a step towards making a career out of her passion by participating in ‘The Voice - Nepal’. Deeksha J Thapa competed in the third season of the popular singing competition in 2014 and won. She was the lead singer of the duo ‘Deeksha & Himal’ that participated together. 

Since she won the show, Deeksha J Thapa has made many appearances on popular singing shows like ‘Ace Unplugged’ and ‘Khalti Talking Titans’. The singer has also performed at major music festivals like Meraki and more. Deeksha J Thapa is extremely popular on video streaming platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where she has built a loyal following by posting her music videos and covers of popular songs. Besides singing, Deeksha J Thapa can also play the guitar. Over the years, she has released songs like ‘Timro Mero’ feat. Baaja Boyand ‘Tabar’ with Suraj Shahi Thakuri for the movie ‘Prenganj’ (2022). Deeksha J Thapa also works as a teacher and teaches preschool children at Star Kids Daycare and School.
