Ami Mishra is a popular Bollywood songwriter and playback singer from Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. His father was a government employee and his mother was a housewife. He had a younger brother. Followed by his schooling from Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Seoni, he graduated from Rani Durgawati Post Graduation College, Mandla. His passion for music began when he went to Indore Management Institute for his MBA studies. Being a part of the college band, he participated in reality shows.

After working at a multinational company for some time, corporate life bored him and he turned music into his career. Ami sought his passion against his parents’ wishes and started playing at restaurants and private parties. Seven months later, Vishesh Films selected his song for a film.
