Diksha Thakral

Diksha Thakral is a Prague Film alumnus, known for her competence in various areas like production, direction, screenwriting, and video editing. The media professional is adept at dealing with different teams across disciplines to deliver creditable content.

Thakral studied at Sophia Girls Secondary School, Bhilwara, Rajasthan. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies at Amity University, Jaipur in 2016. In 2018, Diksha enrolled at Prague Film School to pursue a two-year course in narrative filmmaking and advanced filmmaking, specializing in direction.

In 2016, Thakral joined Victor Tango Entertainment Pvt Ltd as an assistant event manager. After working as an intern for two months, she worked as a production assistant for the same company. The same year, Thakral switched to Stoned House Films, Jaipur, working as a production manager for three months. The following year, in 2017, Thakral landed a job as an assistant director on a contractual basis with Rajshri Entertainment. After a two-month stint with the company, she joined Sol Production as an assistant director.

After working there for a month, she switched to Film Farm, where she served as an assistant director for a month. In 2018, Thakral worked for Prague Film School, Prague, Czech Republic. During her two-year stint with the film school, she donned different hats like a script supervisor, screenwriter, and video editor. Later, she worked as a director, associate art director, and costume designer.

In 2021, she worked for Rusk Media, Delhi, as an assistant director. During her stint, Thakral worked on the comedy web series Roomies Season 2 and Roomies Season 3. Thakral is also credited with the short film Holy Mother, helmed and written by Hussein Hossam. She worked as an assistant art director for the short, starring Yara Elham Jarrar, Elsa Molin, and Baha Chbani.

Diksha is skilled in avid media player, adobe creative suite, DaVinci Resolve, digital media, and MMS. She possesses effective communication skills and is good at conflict management, working with stakeholders and vendors.
