Surabhi Dashputra

Surabhi Dashputra is an Indian lyricist and a playback singer. She predominantly works in Bollywood and has penned lyrics for several hit Hindi songs; she also sang in Bollywood films. Her hit songs include Manzoor Nahi, O Ranjhna, Tarana, etc.

She took birth in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Her famous lyrics include O Soniye from Titoo MBA; it became a super hit. Her forte is Western, folk and Classical music.

The multi-talented Surabhi has made a fan base among the Indian youth with her voice and lyrics. She appeared for the first time as a singer in 2013 on Coke Studio Season 3. She took birth in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She went to the Mata Gujri College, Jabalpur and did a Bachelor degree in Arts. Later on, Surabhi moved to Mumbai, she enrolled into the University of Mumbai and earned a Post Graduate degree in Hindustani Classical Music. After graduation, she did Geetanjali Music course from Bhatkhandev Sangeet Mahavidyalaya.

In 2006, she joined and studied music under artist Suresh Wadkar’s Music Academy. Side by side she also took part in Aarti Sense Studio’s workshops. The year 2014 proved to be successful for Surabhi. She played a role in the music of movie Titoo MBA. She wrote three songs and sang the rest three tracks. In the same year, she wrote two songs for the horror movie Chudail, Das Rahe Hain, and Raat Yeh Kehti Hai. A year later, Surabhi penned down four songs in Radio Sishpal. Not only for Hindi films but she has also written lyrics for TV commercials such as Ayur, LPU, Kesh King, Marvel Tea, etc.

The multi-talented Surabhi has made a fan base among the Indian youth with her voice and lyrics. She carved out an identity for herself in the Indian music industry and is an inspiration for many young singers.
