Born into a Gujarati family in Mumbai, Maharastra, Sonali Rathore is an Indian Playback Singer who worked predominantly in the Hindi Fim Industry or Bollywood. Sonali studied at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She married Music composer and Singer Roop Kumar Rathod. She was trained in classical and many other styles of music in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, and many more, under the watchful eye of her mentor, Shri Purushottam Upadhyay.
Her first-ever album was Ghazals which was released in 1987 and was called, Aghaaz, for which she also won the best Ghazal Singer by Emirates International the same year. She, along with her husband, produced many albums including Ishara, Mitwa, Khushbu, and Mohabbat Ho Gayee, amongst many other popular ones.
