Mumtaz Begum acted for five generation artistes from Motilal to Rajesh Khanna and immortalized any character that she had performed on screen. She was a favorite mother for Rajendra Kumar and Dharmendra on screen. After 80’s, she did not appear in many films and perhaps might have quit acting. She was born on April 7, 1923.
