Saurav Mehta

Saurav Mehta is a self-employed stand-up comedian and writer. He was born on 25th February 1990, in Kolkata. He is famous for being a contestant and a finalist in the Amazon Prime Video’s comedy hunt, Comicstaan. Before becoming a stand-up comedian and writer, Saurav ran a retail store in his native place, Kolkata. He was also a senior analyst in Human Resources, Operations, and Recruitment in the company The D. E. Shaw Group.

He went to La Martiniere School for Boys in Kolkata, then pursued Bachelors of Business Management and graduated from Christ University, Bangalore. Saurav Mehta is fluent in various languages like French, Bengali, Hindi, English, and Gujarati. Being a stand-up comedian, he performed in many places like IIT Kharagpur and Canvas Laugh Club.

Saurav has also written for the show Son of Abish for three seasons and also wrote for Bajaj Allianz, Ballantine’s, Amazon, Hotstar, to name a few. He is also a part of a series on youtube called WTD Googlies by Viu India, where they invite various cricketers, and have colloquial discussions regarding their decisions and actions on the field with a hint of comedy. He also wrote and acted in the web series Kiski Sarkaar: GEET Coaching Classes. Saurav now resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
