Omar Khan

Omar Khan is an Indian based artist who has taken part in most of the basic aspects of filmmaking including acting, writing, producing, etc. He had a deep passion for acting ever since his childhood, and he had to pursue his dreams a lot before finally achieving them in 2005 when he was featured on television in various ad films, commercials, etc. Before he began to get featured on TV, he had done a various voice-over for teleserials and was an active theatre actor.

‘Smile of Despair’, directed by Madeleine Oaten, is his most popular play, in which he played the lead role. His performance was noticeable, and it won various critical and aesthetic appreciations. He completed his degree in Optometry from the reputed City University in London. He also completed a one-year course in acting from the Acting Centre in 2008. In 2002, he had signed a contract with Sony TV for a program named ‘ View Asia View Asia was Sony Entertainment Television’s real >> Read More... ’, in which he was the chief presenter of the show.

The program was a huge success, and he took part in it for seven years, gaining the much-needed attention and experience for his acting career. He has acted in five Bollywood films, including the blockbuster film ‘YehJawaniHaiDiwani’, in which he played a supporting cast, with an unmatched timing and perfection. He is also a writer and has written several scripts for television shows, plays and music albums such as ‘Cloud 9’- aired on Zing Tv, in which he wrote the plot for twenty-two episodes. Currently, he works as a producer for an unnamed sitcom which is due to television very soon. Apart from acting and writing and producing, Omar has also edited several music videos. Proving time and again that he is an indispensable asset to the media and film industry.
