Jagdish Raj Khurana has the distinction of enacting the role of a police cop in 144 films. Born on 1928, he holds the Guinness World Record for this feat. Being born in Sargodha, which is currently situated in Pakistan, Jagdish was indeed a unreckonable onscreen police cop. Jagdish Raj is blessed with one son and two daughters;

, one of his daughters, had also tested waters in Bollywood. Jagdish kickstarted his film career in the year 1955 with the film Seema wherein he enacted the role of a doctor. The 1956 flick CID was the first film where Jagdish played the role of a cop. He has worked in around 260 flicks.

Deewar, Shakti, Imaan Dharam, Silsila, Gopichand Jasoos, Besharam and Aaina are some of the notable flicks of Jagdish. Jagdish had also worked as a judge and a villain, but is popular for his police officer roles. He also has to his credit the Limca Book of World Records for being the most remembered policeman. Jagdish quit the industry in 1992. Jagdish breathed his last on 28 July 2013 at the ripe old age of 85, owing to respiratory illness. Jagdish Raj is indeed the typical cop of Bollywood.Â
