Aseem Merchant is an Indian film actor and former model. He started his career in Bollywood in 2004. His first movie was “Bin Tere Sanam” released in 2004, which was a short film. His first proper Bollywood release was “Bullet Ek Dhamaka” released in 2004 where he played the role of Don Raja. Next, he starred in ‘Katputtli’, directed by Sanjay Khanna. This movie was a thriller, with themes of psychology and murder underlying the film. His next break was the movie “The Train” released in 2007. It was a remake of the Hollywood movie ‘Derailed’ and was about a couple faced with the issue of extramarital affairs. ‘Wanted’ directed by Prabhu Deva and starring Salman Khan was his next big break in 2009, where he played the role of ‘Golden Bhai’. This movie became the second highest grossing movie of the year. ‘Wanted’ was the remake of the Telugu movie ‘Pokiri’ and also starred Ayesha Takia. After 2009, Aseem Merchant has starred in three more movies: Aseema the Great in 2009, “Singh Saab The Great” released in 2013 and “Bhaag Johnny” released in 2015. Any further projects of Aseem Merchant have not yet been announced. Aseem Merchant married Mamta Merchant in the year 2001. They are now divorced. They have a daughter named Sasha Merchant. Aseem is rumored to have dated Priyanka Chopra during her modeling days, and she is said to have ditched him in 2000 soon after becoming Miss World. Aseem as if tried to get revenge from her when he started the project of making a film with her ex-manager Prakash Jaju. This movie was supposed to be a biopic of Prakash Jaju’s life as Priyanka’s manager, titled “67 Days”. It was to contain his experiences with Priyanka Chopra and her father, Ashok Chopra. It was alleged that Prakash Jaju had tweeted about Priyanka Chopra allegedly having an affair with a married man, 20 years senior to her. Priyanka Chopra’s father also said he had been sending threatening calls to her family. It is then that they filed a FIR against him and Prakash Jaju was arrested and kept in jail for 67 days. Hence the name of the movie was kept “67 days”. Priyanka Chopra threatened to drag Aseem Merchant and Prakash Jaju to court if this film was made. Soon after, the idea of making the movie was stalled. Aseem Merchant is said to have told the media that he was not trying to malign Priyanka Chopra through this movie, as she was the nicest person he knew.


Ayush Tandon

Ayush Tandon is an International actor, born in Mumbai. He is a teenager, who recently passed his Higher Secondary Examination, in the year 2014. He secured Eighty-seven percentage in the examination and is currently pursuing a degree, at Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, in Maharashtra. By pursuing acting, Ayush has given life to his father Hatinder Tandon’s dream to act. Ayush was first seen on the small screen, as a contestant on the reality show, Boogie Woogie Kids Championship, in the year 2007. He then participated in the show Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka that was aired on Zee Television. Ayush and television actor Vasundhara were a team, and they emerged as winners, in the show. He has also acted in several commercials. Ayush began his acting career in the year 2011, through the off-centre movie, 7 Khoon Maaf. He played the character of young Vivaan Shah and was praised for his acting. Ayush shot to ultimate fame when he was approached for the role of young Pi, in the blockbuster, award-winning movie, Life Of Pi, that released in the year 2012. He had to prove his acting skills, through two to three rounds of the audition, for getting selected to act in the film, Life of Pi. Recently Ayush was seen in the super hit film, Bajirao Mastani, which released in the year 2015. Ayush Tandon did the role of a brave son, of Ranveer Singh, called as Nan Saheb. The movie received critical acclamation, and Ayush had done a very powerful role. Ayush Tandon is currently shooting for the Hollywood flick, titled as Flaw.90.
