Tanusree Chakraborty

Born and brought up in West Bengal, India, Tanushree Chakraborty is a Bengali model and actress in film and television. Before pursuing her acting career, she was the best face of many kinds of endorsements and was a professional model. Her modelling career escalated her professional career, and she came into limelight with performances in Bengali films such as Uro Chithi (2011), Obhishopto Nighty (2014), Window Connections (2014), Buno Haansh (2014) and Khaad (2014). Her performances in above mentioned were of sheer applauds and accolades.

EARLY LIFE

Chakraborty, born on 6 August 1984 in Hyderabad, was a student of Kamala’s Girls’ High School. She was an excellent student and later pursued her graduation in Political Science from Basanti Devi College. The College in which she studied is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, India. Tanushree lives with her parents and her younger sister in Bengal. Her family is of conservative type.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Tanushree started to work as a model after her secondary education. She joined modeling workshops and got a chance to do various modelling shows. She stepped into the modeling Industry for a very short span of time and soon appeared as a charming face in various advertisements and TV shows. First ever chance given to showcase her acting skills was in ‘Bondhu Esho Tumi’. She gained prominence with a Bangladeshi commercial for Pran Powder Spice, which was very popular. She also garnered eminence with her best movie ‘Uro Chithi’ in 2011, which was her first released movie. In continuation with the films, she has shown her talent in many famous television shows. During that time, Tanushree got offers for many TV serials and ultimately she worked in TV serial “Utsav or Ratri” of Jishu Sengupta. Utsav or Ratri is the first TV serial of Tanushree Chakraborty. Recently she has been a host of beauty and lifestyle show called ‘Sampurna’ aired on Zee Bangla channel. The brand ambassador of Club Salon and Glamour World Ayurvedic Co Pvt Ltd, Tanushree Chakraborty loves to cook, is a movie buff, and loves to travel and explore a lot.

Tanushree has been consistently working in the film industry and TV industry for the last 6-8 years. She has been a part of many films in her all-time career, and some of them were super hits.
