Gail Nicole Da Silva

Gail Nicole Da Silva is a supermodel from India. She is famously known for winning the Femina Miss India United Continent, 2014. She was born on 6th February 1993 in Margao, Goa. Gail comes from non-modeling family background. Her father was a marine engineer, and her mother was a housewife. Born in a Roman Catholic Goan family, Gail completed her schooling at St. Pius X Convent High School, Orlim, Goa. She later graduated from Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Panaji, Goa. She participated in numerous fashion shows during her time in college. Still, she was never serious about being a professional model.

Modeling became a serious career for Gail in 2013 when she gained popularity for the first time by winning the Femina Miss India Goa in 2013. She was awarded Pond's Femina Miss Glowing Skin title at the same pageant as well. Winning the Femina Miss India Goa also qualified her for Femina Miss India 2013. She ended up as one of the top 10 finalists. This was a massive achievement for Gail as she had not received any professional training until this point. However, she trained with Melvyn Noronha, an internationally renowned fashion designer, and beauty pageant mentor. Under the mentorship of Melvyn, Gail was crowned as the Femina Miss United Continent 2014.

She was also crowned the Femina Miss Timeless Beauty. Gail has also represented and made India proud on an international level. In 2014, she was crowned as the first runner-up at Miss United Continents 2014 and became the first Indian to do so. She was also honored with two special awards at the same pageant held in Ecuador- Miss Photogenic and Best in National Costume. The costume that she wore was designed by her mentor Melvyn Noronha.
