Savio John Pereira

Savio John Pereira is one of India’s leading hairstylists. He has styled several exclusive celebrity figures throughout his extensive career. Pereira was born in Goa, and even as a child was deeply invested in learning about hair care and style, prompting his schoolmates to call him ‘Hajjam’ (barber). His mom would take his three sisters all the way to Pune from their home in Panchgani to get their hair done. He hung around salons learning professional styling by observing the people at work. He actively participated in sports and represented Maharashtra and Uttrakhand at Boxing and Swimming. He worked as a waiter at the Taj to make enough money to study professional styling, but he had to put his plans on hold to attend to his family for a year. He then began going some gigs as a DJ and even went on to compose music for Sony. He had to make the life-changing decision to stay on his current track or delve into hairstyling as an amateur and build his way up. Pereira began his journey working with the stylists Nalini and Yasmin. Pereira became widely known after he styled the singer Raageshwari. A trim that he thought would ruin his career turned out to grab everyone’s attention. He slowly built up his clientele with his incredible people skills and his ability to highlight and transform a person’s look. He brought about his unique touch to all his creations and introduced upcoming styles from leading catalogs.

He went on to win the All India Men’s Hairdressing for Men’s Haircut.  He established the Savio John Pereira Salon, which also offers hairstyling courses. His natural eye for layering and colors helped him create the most unique and dazzling styles.
