Time after time, she felt that life has changed and people have accepted her and her work. Sylvie soon became a big celebrity in India.
Coming to her personal life, she found an Indian from Kerala. The person married Sylvie at the age of 81. They adopted two sons soon after their marriage. Sylvie called her mother-in-law, children, and her own mom, and started living in an apartment. Sylvie’s relations with her husband weren’t that great, and they separated after 14 years of marriage. The reason for their break up is that her husband could not accept her celebrity status. After Sylvie’s mother's death, she became lonely and lost her voice. Then she was referred to Switzerland for treatment.
