Sushanto Roy

Sushanto Roy was graduated from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, with a bachelor's degree in commerce. He began his career in the year 2000 as a member of Mr. Subrata Roy Sahara's core team, which included Managing Worker and Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar. Sahara India Pariwar is an Indian conglomerate with interests in finance, infrastructure & housing, media & entertainment, consumer merchandise, retail venture, manufacturing, and information technology. It is headquartered in Lucknow, India. His main responsibilities in this team were related to Sahara's media sector.

In the year 2003, he became the chief executive officer of the Sahara India Pariwar's media and entertainment sector. Sahara Samay received the Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award for its network newsroom technology under his direction. He became the Head- Infrastructure and Housing Division of Sahara India Pariwar in late 2003. The company got the Brick and Mortar Award-2004, sponsored by A and D Magazine, for excellence and inventiveness in the fields of architecture, environmental protection, quality building, and timely execution, under the direction of Mr. Sushanto Roy. Business World Magazine also named SICCL No. 1 in the construction and real estate sector. He has several years of experience working in the real estate industry. He is married to Swapna Roy, and they both have citizenship in the Republic of Macedonia, a country in South-East Europe's central Balkan peninsula.
