Smitha Menon is an Indian food writer, editor, and journalist. She is best known for her work as part of Condé Nast Traveller, where she worked as a culinary editor. Based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Menon graduated from St. Xavier’s College. She began working as an output editor for News Desk at Bloomberg TV India from 2009-10. She was the content producer and director of fashion programming at NDTV Good Times in 2013 and was involved in producing Jewellery Trails with Anmol Jewellers (2013). NauheedCyrusi, the British actress and model, hosted the show. She was the editor of Brown Paper Bag, a food and lifestyle portal founded by Kanika Parab and Mansi Poddar from 2012-15.
She moved on to work as the digital editor, followed by culinary editor at Condé Nast, working with Condé Nast Traveller (India). It is a global mass media company founded in 1908 and owned by Advance Publications. Her works have appeared in publications including Condé Nast Traveller (India), Flipboard, The Telegraph, Sun Herald, Bon Appetit, Fresno Bee, The State, The Charlotte Observer, Lexington Herald-Leader, The News and Observer, The Sacramento Bee, MiD DY, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, among many others. Presently she is self-employed and works as an independent journalist and content advisor.
