Dheeraj Jindal is a producer and director in the Indian film industry. In 2004, Dheeraj went to JIMS for a Bachelors in Mass Communication. After that, he joined the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in 2007 for a Masters in Mass Communication. He completed his education in 2009. Meanwhile, he joined Carrot Films as an associate director and cinematographer in August 2008. After working there for 2 years, Dheeraj joined Onions Creative Media as a creative director in June 2011 and then Films Rajendraa as a director in 2012. He worked at the organization for about five years. In 2017, after having gained an experience of over ten years in the industry, he set out on his journey as a freelance director. His first major project as a freelance director was directing the web series Indian Predator: The Diary Of A Serial Killer.
It was released in 2022 on Netflix. Based on a true story, Dheeraj's work in this series was widely appreciated. With years of experience and blockbuster shows in his bucket, Dheeraj went on to expand his work. He started his production house Sunday Films in 2018 and in 2019, he became a consultant at Large Short Films. Based in Mumbai, Sunday Films has produced several heart-touching and meaningful short films like The School Bag, Baj Gai Seeti, Sorry Bhaisaab, Vikalp, Katran, and Dry Leaves. For the work, the organization has received over 60 awards so far, including two Filmfares. The production house also holds over 200 awards from film festivals. The short documentaries- The Musalman: Preservation of a Dream and Faith Revisited were one of Dheeraj's earliest projects as an assistant director in the industry. As a director, Dheeraj has worked in- The School Bag, Paash (Trapped), Vikalp, and Baj Gayi Seeti.
