Maaz Kazmi

Maaz Kazmi is a filmmaker, writer, and director. He has written and directed films and Ads for brands like Times, Honor India, Reliance, NBA India, Dabur, Future Group, Discovery India, etc. Kazmi did his Masters program in Communication Studies at Pune University from 2009 – 2011. He produced short films and ad films for film festivals while studying.

He began his career as an Associate Creative Head at Savdhan India (Saregama Private Ltd.). He became the Associate Creative Director at Fremantle Media, where he played a vital role for the Show Code on Colors. At Eyecatcher Entertainment, he wrote several ad films, profile films, and branded content in fiction and non-fiction space.

Later, he headed the video department at Foxymoron Mammoth Media and also spearheaded the production of Man’s Life (a digital publication of 45 videos every month). He worked as a writer-content director on several fiction and non-fiction ad films and branded content in Pheonix Content Studio. He also wrote and directed a 5 part non-fiction series for MX Player called ‘Express Yourself’ to a 4 part docu-series on the India Air Force Academy for Discovery India. Kazmi is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu. He is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
