Deepak Pandit is widely popular for his excellent skills as a prominent violinist and a music composer. Born into a Hindu Quwwal family, he learned to play the violin under his father, Shambhuji. He began performing as a solo artist and as an accompanying violinist from a very young age. He is proficient not only in Indian but also in Western Classical Music. He has performed for many great names like the former President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, and the former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton.

He has also worked with some prominent names in the entertainment industry like  Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. He is married to Latika Pandit and is the proud father of two boys- Sameer(11) and Nehar(5), both of whom seem to be inclined to follow in their father’s footsteps and step into a career in music. Even though he is well learned in Western Classical Music, Deepak Pandit says that his heart truly lies in Indian Classical Music. He believes that there is a strong need to make the younger generation understand and appreciate classical music.

He says that his music is just an attempt at keeping the tradition alive within while also adapting it constantly to make it sound fresh and new. Be it the serene Sufi tunes or the incredibly complex notes of a classical piece, Deepak Pandit is a magician on the violin. He is, and always will be, one of the greatest gifts to Indian Music.
