Vivekanand Daakhore is a professional cinematographer, video editor, and videographer from India with over six years of experience. He was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and went to Vignan High School. He completed his higher studies at Seamedu Media School. He completed a bachelor's in mass communication from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth in Pune. He is known for Bhonsle (2018), Galli (The Lane) (2015), and Shera (2023).
His other projects include the short films 'Cycle, My Mother's Girlfriend', 'Kshay-Decay', Marisoul, 1998', and 'Vaarasa: The Inheritance. He was the supervisor and coordinator for videography and video editing for OLA CABS and Maruthi Suzuki, from Maharashtra and Ghaziabad. He received several awards and nominations for his films, such as Best Cinematography, issued by Critic's Choice Awards in May 2022; Best Film of the Year at Jharkhand National Film Festival 2022; Critic's Award at Gangtok International Film Festival, Sikkim, India 2022; Outstanding Award at Druk International Film Festival, Bhutan 2022; Tagore International Film Festival, West Bengal, India 2022; Mountain Film Festival 2022; and Calcutta International Cult Film Festival 2022.
He also won first prize at the 'Kala-Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai, 2017; was nominated for the 'New York Indian Film Festival, 2017; and in Alapavirama at the National Institute of Design, India. His films were also screened at the Asian Short Film Festival in 2016, in prestigious festivals like 'The River to River Indian Film Festival in Italy, at the Indisches Film Festival in Stuttgart, Germany, at 'The International Film Festival of South Asia, Toronto in 2017 and Washington D.C. South Asian Film Festival, 2017.
