Shahrukh Sayyed

Shahrukh Sayyed is a famous cinematographer in Indian Cinema. He was born in Pune city in Maharashtra. His father’s name is Mushtaq Sayyed. He has completed his education in his hometown. He pursued his post-graduation Diploma in Cinematography from MIT School of Film and Television (MITSFT) in Pune. He completed his Diploma in Film Editing from NEI India Film and Television Institute (NEI-IFTI). He has done a Film Appreciation Course from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). 

Shahrukh has directed, shot, and edited short narrative fiction. He has also worked in various documentaries, films, commercials, and music videos. He is popularly known as the director of photography in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva in 2022. He was the cinematographer for five films, Exploring the Mastani Lake, Nirbhau, Yeh Hai Meri Kahani, Majur, and Salam in 2017. He worked as a director of photography in Girl in Amber in 2019. He has also worked in the camera and electrical department in films like Riana Speechless in 2021, Bhootiyapa in 2019, and AISHA: My Virtual Girlfriend in 2018. Nirbhau was a Punjabi short film shot by Shahrukh in 2017. Sandalia Sustainability Film Festival in Italy selected it for nominations.

He was the photographer for the Marathi feature film Balance in 2018. He worked as an assistant in the short film Rhythm of Melancholy. In 2018, he worked as DOP in Invisalign India and Gera Development. Shahrukh’s nickname is Jerry. He is an educator and also an animal lover. Shahrukh is an assistant professor at Symbiosis Institute of Design (video film design). Shahrukh is a talented professional spreading his magic in the industry.
