Al Ameel

Al Ameel is a young and passionate cinematographer. He loved to take pictures when I was young, and that instinct over time led him to capture videos and eventually led him to cinematography. Ameel was brought up in Dubai and did his schooling from Our Own Indian School. He has also earned a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Dubai(BITS Dubai). During his undergraduate program, he established Reflections, the Official College Club for Photography, and continued his passion by working for the club. He has done a professional course on cinematography at the Digital Academy, Mumbai.

During the past two years,  Ameel has actively worked for over 30 ads and assisted renowned Cinematographers such as Ravi K Chandran and Ravi Varman Ravi was born in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. As remarkable as his achievements are, he doesn’t stop there and has also done several short films, among which ‘Terminal’ won the best short film award in The We Care Film Festival 2013, organized in association with Dubai International Film Festival and Al Noor Special Needs Center, Dubai.

Ameel has worked as a Cinematographer, Camera team, Associate Cameraman, D.P, D.O.P, Additional Cinematography, Assistant, Cinematographer /Second Unit Cinematographer, Production Assistant, and Junior Marketing Executive. Ameel is very passionate about cinematography and hopes to be a part of more exciting and challenging projects in the future.
