Aarushi Jain

Aarushi Jain is an Indian Visual Designer, Art Director, Graphic Designer, and Illustrator who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. She was born in the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra. Aarushi Jain received her Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication from the prestigious National Institute of Design in 2018 with a specialization in Exhibition and Space Design. While at college, she was a part of the student activity council, theater, and dance clubs, as well as a coordinator for various activities and fests. To add to her credentials, she even did a semester in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design at the Hochschule Ostwestfalen Lippe in Detmold, Germany.

Aarushi Jain was initially drawn towards the prospect of designing museums and crafting narrative spaces. Her early jobs in the professional field were related to her goals and included working as a Space Designer at The Dadashree Gallery within the DBF Experience Park in Ahmedabad, which is associated with the Dada Bhagwan Foundation. Aarushi Jain also worked as a space design and branding consultant for EuroKids Pre-schools, where she worked with experience design as well as their web and print management. However, just as she was on the verge of achieving her dream of joining a museum design studio, she received an opportunity to work on a film. Aarushi Jain thought she would try it out once but ended up finding her creative calling in the world of film and set design.

In 2019, Aarushi Jain began working as an Art director for Raj and DK’s TV series ‘The Family Man,’ which aired on Amazon Prime in 2020. She has also worked as a creative assistant on movies such as ‘Glitch - Unpaused’ (2020) and as a visual design consultant for series like Amazon Prime’s ‘Farzi’ (2023) and ‘Guns and Gulaabs’ which aired on Netflix in 2023. Besides working in the film industry, Aarushi Jain writes and illustrates articles for publications like Buzzfeed, Plainspeak, and Homegrown. Her work often highlights socially relevant issues based on themes like equality.
