Nasir Ali, or Mohd Nasir bin Ali is a multi-talented Malaysian actor with a career of nearly three decades in theatre, television, and film. He was born on January 17, 1953. Hailing from Taiping, Perak, in the Federation of Malaya (now Malaysia), Nasir started his theatrical journey in 1974. He debuted with the play "Liku-Liku Hidup" at the National Cultural Complex in Kuala Lumpur. Throughout his career, Nasir was famous as a theatre activist. He passionately acted and directed numerous plays. In 1989, he made the Creative Arts Theater Group, of which he served as the President. He has graced the stage in numerous productions, including notable performances in Jebat, Orliana, The Three Sisters, Mac Back, Konvensyen Gila, Pran, Bus Stop, and Orang-Orang Kecil. He has contributed to significant movies such as Mekanik, Hingga Hujung Nyawa, and The Movie Scenario. His skills and dedication have garnered him praise throughout his career. He was nominated for Best Male Actor at the Anugerah Seri Angkasa for his extraordinary performances in Kurnia (1995) and Esah Swinger (1996).

He achieved recognition as the Best Theater Director and Actor in 1987 for his work in the play Pran. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia.
