Daniel Malik is a rising actor, born on March 31, 1992, in Toronto, Canada, formerly known as Wahab Chaudhry. He pursued graduation from London, England and after its completion, he began his career as a model. Daniel is known for playing the role of Black Philip in ‘The Witch’ (2015), directed by Robert Eggers which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Daniel also appeared on the Amazon Original hit series ‘The Expanse’ and later in a psychological thriller ‘Beacon 23’ and the second season of SyFy's hit horror-comedy, ‘Surreal Estate.’ His other works include ‘What We Do in the Shadows,’ ‘Hudson & Rex,’ ‘Ransom,’ ‘Condor,’ and ‘The Handmaid's Tale,’ released in 2017.
Since childhood, Daniel has had an interest in performing. He used to watch hours of movies available from the hospital's library and act out scenes for the nurses. He is a big fan of Michael Smith, John Quilter, and Action Bronson. Also, his High School drama teacher motivated him to pursue the craft further. Early, in his modelling career, he met Canadian designer Hussein Dhalla who made him involved in Toronto Men's Fashion Week as their first South Asian male runway model. Apart from acting Daniel has a great passion for cooking. He has always got support and appreciation from his fans. This also earned Daniel a nomination for Best Villain at the Seattle Film Critics’ Awards.
