Sneh Upadhyay is a famous Indian singer and actress adored by thousands of fans who works in the Bhojpuri music, and film industry. She was born on 14 July 1999 in Samastipur, Bihar, India. She did her schooling from Central Government school in Samastipur and Jesus & Mary Secondary School in Darbhanga, Bihar. She pursued her graduation from Women’s College, Bihar. Her parents are Chandra Prakash Upadhya and Poonam Upadhya; she has a sibling, Surya Upadhya. She started learning music at the age of four under musician Arun Poddar and later under Majid Hassan, who is a Ghazal singer. Her expertise in musical instruments was the Harmonium and she learned singing alongside it. She also studied music in Allahabad in Prayag Sangeet Samiti.

In the initial stages of her career she performed at many local events, in villages, big cities and in small towns. She indeed came into the spotlight with her notable performance at the National Book Fair. She won a famous singing competition in Bihar in 2011 and in 2013 she was at the 12th position in the Reality TV singing show called Sur Sangam on Mahua TV. She also participated in the TV show ‘Saregamapa Purvaiya’ where she was given the title of ‘Fresh Voice of India’ and ‘Sursargam’ in 2013. Her singing debut was in 2019 Bhojpuri film ‘Dilwar,’ which was released in the same year. She has an active YouTube channel that was started in 2016 and it reached millions of subscribers over time which led her to receive the Silver Play Button from YouTube. She has also received many awards including Green Cinema Award in 2012, Bhojpuri Gaurav Samman in 2019, Green Cinema Award in 2020 for the title of ‘New Voice’ for the song ‘Hello Koun,’ and Green Cinema YouTube Queen Award in 2021.
