Assamese Singer Gayatri Hazarika

Gayatri Hazarika is a well-known singer from Assam. She was born in 1980. Her father is Funa Hazarikaand, and her mother is Aruna Hazarika. She got married to Prashant Hazarika. She did her schooling at T.C. High School. She completed her higher secondary education at Sandiky Girls College and later graduated in classical music from Ravindra Bharti University, Calcutta. She has a degree in Music from Bhatkhandel Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow.

She also studied music with Jay Prakash Medhi and Jiten Basumatary. At the minor age of 11, she performed her first stage performance at Guwahati Radio Centre and Guwahati Doordarshan in 1992. Later she has sung various Assamese film songs like Manny Vaishya’s Krodh, Jatin Bora’s Ratnakar, and Zubib Garg’s Kanchenjunga.

She has also sung songs for Assamese serials like Vaidehi, Rodali, Damini, Mamta, Parineeti, and Alpana. She has also received a Cinema Award. She received several awards for singing. In 2019, she got the Gossip Musical award for the film Krodh.In 2019, she was recognized as  A grade singer by Guwahati Radio Station. In 2021, she also received the Best Vocalist Award from Prag Cine Award for the song Rati Rati of the film Ratnakar.
