Chakradhar Deka is a director, producer, screenwriter, author, and entrepreneur. He was born on 3rd September 1963. He worked as an advisor for the Barkhteri Anchalik Students Organization as a member for the Assam movement. He has worked as a producer, director, and writer for several films, including Soru Bowari (2003), Aei Morom Tumar Babey (2001), Prem Bhora Shokulu (2001), and Ahankaar (2000). He founded and owns the Rajkumar Film Production and Rajashree Theatre. In 2007, he collaborated with writer-actor Champak Sharma to recreate the most iconic Bollywood film Sholay at Rajashree Theatre. In 2001, he wrote Dhanxor Gorahot Axom, an analytical book on Assam's economy.
Also, he wrote several plays, including Moromor Bowari (2004), Nuphula Phulor Samadhi (2005), Maa Aru Maammi (2006), and Sendur (2007). In 2007, he was awarded by Shree Shree Hari Mandir Raas Committee for the Rajashree Theatre in the Best Theatre Group category. In 2006, he was awarded Y’s Men International for Rajashree Theatre in the Best Theatre Group category. In 2008, he was awarded the Y’s Men International for, the Nuphula Phulor Samadhi the Best Director category.
In 2006, he was awarded Rodali Mobile Theatre Awards for Assamese Cultural Industry in Outstanding Contribution category. In 2006, he was awarded the 11th Moonlight Media for the Assamese Cultural Industry in the outstanding contribution category. In 2004, he was awarded the 9th Moonlight Media Awards for the Rajashree Theatre in the Best Theatre Group category. In 2003, he was awarded the Royal Challenge 8th Moonlight Media Awards for the Soru Bowari in the Best Film category.
