Umm-e-Haniya is a Pakistani television serial. It premiered on Geo TV Channel. The serial released its first episode on 24 January 2018. The serial revolves around the life of a young girl, Romi. Romi is a sweet girl who aspires to be a cricketer. Her family does not support this idea of her. But despite the disapproval, Romi continues to pursue her dreams. Romi enrolled herself in a cricket academy with the help of her manager, Rohan. She took an entrance test and qualified for the academy. She went to Islamabad for her cricket practice. But her dreams were shattered when she purposely got injured by a fellow student. She returned to her parents. Meanwhile, Rohan married the love of his life, Saba. Rohan’s mother, Zeenat, and sister, Maham, did not support his decision. They despised Saba. Rohan and Saba decided to shift abroad.

But during their journey to the airport. They ended up in an accident. Saba died after the accident but gave birth to a baby girl. Zeenat decides to keep this a secret from Rohan. She left the baby in a park. Rohan was heartbroken and left the country. Coincidentally, Romi found the girl and brought her home. She decided to raise the kid but faced criticism from the rest of the family. After a lot of struggle, everyone agreed to keep the child. Romi named the child, Haniya. Romi got married to Kamil, the love of her life. Kamil had a brother, Anjum, and a sister, Zoya. Shagufta, Kamil’s mother, did not like Romi and Haniya. But with the support of other members, Romi brought Haniya to her home. Shagufta continuously plotted against Romi. Anjum got married to Maham (Rohan’s sister). Kamil learns that Romi cannot get pregnant due to her medical issues.

Zoya confessed to Romi about her love for Mohsin and asked her to convince Kamil. One day, Kamil learned about Mohsin. But he misinterpreted that Mohsin was Romi’s boyfriend. He humiliated her in front of everyone. Zoya came to her rescue and revealed the truth. Kamil asked for forgiveness. Rohan returned from America when Zeenat faced health issues. He enquired about the accident and found out that Kamil was the culprit. Rohan confronts Kamil. Later, Rohan forgives Kamil for the sake of his sister. Maham reveals that his baby is still alive. The dots connect, and they learn that Haniya is Rohan’s daughter. Rohan tries to take her back with him but changes his decision after seeing the love between Romi and Haniya.
