It shows the lives of three women that are connected to each other by their family, revolving around the lives of Sohni, two other younger sisters, and her mother and father, who already hate his daughters Sazda and Sahazia. Sahazia gets pregnant and wants to commit suicide; her love letter gets caught by his father, who shames her daughter endlessly. Her father, Wahid, is extremely orthodox, has a patriarchal approach to life, holds extreme grudges against her daughter, and always wants a son.
He thinks daughters and females are second-class citizens and should be playing the role of carers and serving as obedient wives to their husbands. Shahzia is studious and has great writing skills, which her mother knows, but she wants to save her daughter from her husband's abusive tendencies. She requests and pleads to let Shazia go to college, to which he agrees, but she has tight vigilance and control over her daughter. Sameer lives next to them and goes to the same college as Sahazia. Sazda refuses to go to university, but her mother explains that for a woman, education is highly important in order to be independent; otherwise, her life will be as sad as hers. On the other hand, Sohni and Waris are a married couple, and Waris is also patriarchal and hateful towards women. Waris works for Wahid, and he continually reminds him how to disgrace women and keep them in control, to which Waris gets brainwashed, agrees, and behaves the same with Sohni. Wahid is himself disloyal to her wife but always suspects women to be characterless.
Sahazia wants to leave her toxic house but worries about her mother and sister and continues to live there, but only she has certain courage to confront her father, and they have a sour relationship. Sohni supports Sazda and Shazia, which Waris disapproves of and physically assaults her for. The story takes a dark turn when Wahid marries Sazda off due to her pregnancy, leaving her mother worrying about her daughter and her health due to extreme abuse, improper care, and maternal health care. She dies, leaving us all shocked and disheartened. However, the story further takes twists and turns, and after a leap, we see a girl named Saheen, who turns out to be Sazda's daughter, searching for her father and wanting to avenge her mother's death. Now what will happen? Will Shaheen be able to find answers for her life? Or will she be lost in this maze? Can Shazia help out her niece to avenge her sister's suspicions?
