The plot of this show revolves around two step-sisters, Sofia and Zoobia. Like her mother, Farkhanda, Sofia is an exemplary child with ordinary looks. In contrast, Zoobia has good looks, is the apple of her father's eye, and has contradictory characteristics. Zoobia's mother has died, so all attention is focused on her and none on Sofia.

Zoobia falls in love with Shahzaib, a professional actor. Still, despite being her father's favorite, Touseef does not approve of Shahzaib due to his profession. As a result, she forms the preconceived notion that her stepmother Farkhanda is behind her father's decision, which fuels family resentment. Another plot twist occurs when Zohaib, a newcomer to the neighborhood, meets and falls in love with Zoobia. Sofia, who likes Zohaib, believes that Zohaib's family would like her to be their daughter-in-law, leading her to fall for unrequited love. Zoobia can't get Shahzaib out of her mind, but Zohaib's charm smites her. Furthermore, resentment towards Sofia is a factor in saying 'yes' to Zohaib's proposal, as she does not want her sister to get what she wants. Who will Zoobia pick? What would the outcome of Sofia's patience and desires be?
