The story revolves around the life of a youth, Zara- an innocent girl. Zara is exploited throughout the show because of her innocence. Her father died, and she was brought up by her uncle. Now she is paying for the lifetime shelter she received from her uncle, hence the name ‘Mujhe Qabool Hai’. The most beautiful thing is that the show aims to portray the subservient Zara, whom almost all women can relate to.

We know that we can raise our voices against the discrimination we face daily, but we still choose to compromise for our loved ones. So Zara comes off as this submissive woman in the initial episodes. She has no option but to face the brutal reality. And so she says,’ Mujhe Qabool Hai.’ One more theme the show deals with is women's empowerment. Zara’s mother supports her unabashedly. The bond between the mother and daughter is unbreakable. But what does Zara do to turn her fate around? The rest of the story deals with that.
