After Shirajit’s father’s death, Shirajit, along with her mother, was forced to move in with her uncle. This new environment was hard to adjust for Shirajit, but she continued to follow her late father’s dream to pursue higher education. Shirajit’s cousin, Afaaq, holds traditional views, which creates difficulties for Shirajit as she tries to break the social norms. 

Shirajit has a friend named Sanaan, who belongs to a respectable family. Sanaan met with a tragedy that made him vulnerable to humiliation by society. Shirajit’s compassionate nature draws her closer to Sanaan and they fall in love. All was going well until their lives took an unexpected turn resulting in the loss of their love, happiness and trust. The couple struggle to regain their self-respect and maintain their love as society turns against them.
