Everything was going fine for this middle-class family until the sole breadwinner of their household, Waqar, who was the elder son and brother, died, due to which the family faced a severe financial crisis. This event led to a sudden halt in the marriage of his younger sister, Neelam, and her cousin, Yousuf.

Neelam took the responsibility of supporting her family and requested Yousof, who loved Neelam to the moon and back, to put off their wedding so that she could manage their financial situation. Yousuf’s stubbornness and ego prevented him from supporting Neelam. Yousof ends up marrying Neelam’s sister, Shubnam, who is like a sister to him. Shubnam, who initially loved Neelam began to distance herself from her sister due to this forced marriage.
