Koyla Ho Gai Mei is a Pakistani serial premiered in 2013 on A Plus. It is an Urdu-language serial that focuses on the lives of two sisters. Mehreen (Mehroo) is the older sister who is calm, obedient, and content with her life. Fariya (Fareeh) is the younger sister who is carefree, ambitious, and wants to live a wealthy life with a big house and car. However, Fareeh lives with her mother, sister, and older brother named Sajjad. Both sisters study in a government college. They are pursuing their undergraduate degree. While Mehreen regularly attends lectures, Fareeh believes in living her life to the fullest. Fareeh bunks lectures and loves to enjoy spending time with her friends. One day, after college when the sisters were returning home they saw their neighbor crying for help. The neighbor’s husband was having a heart attack.

The neighbor called the sisters and a gentleman for help. During the visit to their neighbor’s house, Mehreen had a love-at-first-sight experience with Wasim. It was revealed later that Wasim has recently shifted in the area with his mother. Wasim’s mother and Mehreen’s mother became friends and introduced the families to each other. Turns out the love cupid had hit Wasim too, and thus, he asked his mom to propose Mehreen’s mother for their marriage. Unlike Mehreen, who accepted the proposal and was over the moon, Fareeh was disappointed with her sister’s choice as Wasim was not rich and classy.

Fareeh tried to convince Mehreen and her mom to reject the proposal; however, no one paid heed to her.. Fareeh felt lonely after her sister got married. The story escalates when Fareeh is rescued by a gentleman named Isad on a rainy day. Isad offered a lift to Fareeh in his car as it was raining heavily that day. Later, Isad talked to Fareeh and made her feel comfortable. Fareeh was happy that she could finally experience a car ride. She told her mother about the incident and loved Isad’s gesture. Isad, who is a well established businessman, gave Fareeh his business card in the hope that she will contact him. However, Fareeh ended up misplacing the card. What will happen next?
