Khichri Salsa is a Pakistani serial that premiered in 2012 on A Plus. It is an Urdu-language serial. The serial belongs to the comedy drama genre and focuses on the lives of 6 distinct people who come under one roof because of an invitation letter from a famous show named Big Box. The serial begins with Sherry’s nightmare, later, Sherry meets her photographer friend Jamal aka James to brainstorm ideas to earn money. Sherry is a beautiful and intelligent girl who wants to become a model. She left her home to pursue modeling as a career because her mom was getting her married to a rickshaw driver. Sherry, who has done post graduation, thinks she deserves better and thus, confides in Jamal, who runs a modeling agency and is a professional photographer. The story escalates when Jamal receives a call from an international agency who need a male model for 20 lakh Pakistani rupees. Jamal thinks of this call as an opportunity to earn money and live a peaceful life.

He does Sherry’s makeover to make her appear as a male model. Their idea gets successful, and they receive the payment. Sherry, disguised as Sheryer, receives recognition, and demand for Jamal’s agency and photography increases. Later, Sherry and Jamal receive an invitation via post to be a guest on the famous reality show named Big Box. The story escalates when other people like Strong Surma, Gorgeous Zubiya, and Naive couple Mr. P.K and Mrs. P.K receive the invitation. Was this destined to happen? What will happen next?
