Dil Deewana is a Pakistani drama television series aired from January 17, 2017 to Aaj Entertainment channel. The plot is based on Ayan’s character, who comes to Pakistan after having done his studies in America. On arriving at his village, Ayan learns that his father has sold one of his houses to Bek Bawarchi, a wicked and inhuman man whose family’s antics chase away anyone who dares to visit their home. Though they have successfully retrieved their property from Bek Bawarchi, they are suddenly pushed out and chased away when Ayan tries another attempt to reclaim the property. But do not despair; Ayan, continues until he can regain the property. It’s more of a plot twist when Ayan falls in love with Sharmeen, Bek Bawarchi’s daughter. This is in addition to dealing with Sharmeen’s family that does not approve of their emotions for each other as observed when Ayan is torn between his affection towards Sharmeen and her family that opposes them.

That means that humor and drama are natural parts of the show, which means that it is entertaining. Whereas, the central character Ayan’s journey in the series is filled with comedy, romance and dramatic familial tensions. We can see the focus on the elements of love, family and identity all the while maintaining the audience’s interest and their focus towards Ayan’s character. Being light-hearted and full of easily identifiable characters, ‘Dil Deewana’ is a delightful, an enjoyable show. Time distinguishes itself as one of the more interesting Pakistani television shows because of its comedy and drama elements. All in all for those people who like to watch romantic comedy with little hint of the dramatic side “Dil Deewana” is a good option.
