Bridal Couture Week is the annual fashion show held in Pakistan for the extravagant display of various designs of clothing and accessories made by famous designers and put on a gorgeous display by beautiful models who walk the runway. The show mainly consists of bridal clothing for the new brides and show what's trending in the field of fashion. This year too was not a disappointment as expected. The bridal fashion week started and continued for whole three days featuring all the latest bridal fashion and celebrities as the show-stoppers. The event was held in Lahore and the first day of the 20th couture week was started at a local hotel which constituted a huge lineup of famous celebrities and designers.

The days which follow constitute a total of 26 different fashion designers and their beautiful and renowned creations all with a new look and new ideas. The event made a head start with Fahad Hussayn showcasing his spring/summer collection with gorgeous models displaying the clothing with elegance and royal grace. Fahad had named this collection of his as ‘Ghar, Gharasti, Gehney' which translates to 'Home, Household, Jewellery'. The idea of the designs was to portray royal decadence and novelty couture with maintaining highly intricate designs with the brand's artistry in particular all the while maintaining an easy-going, flowy kind of look with opulence. The designs were really exquisite.

This was followed by Haris Shakeel with his 'XYZ' collection which portrayed a very feminine yet charismatic look with romantic and gorgeous undertones which would leave all the newly-weds mesmerized with the attires. Designers 'Deepak and Fahad’ followed next with their ‘Jashn-i-zindagi’ which portrayed a wild yet innovative and experimental approach towards fashion and this was followed by fellow designers Shoaib Ishmail and Ali Haider Ali Haider, is the most celebrated Pakistani singe >> Read More... who both had a contradictory portrayal of the design ideas. Ishmail’s ‘Shehar Bano’ portrayed the magnificence of the royal families while Ali Haider went with a more modern approach towards the rich culture and craftsmanship of Pakistan and towards fashion where brides were concerned. This concluded show 1 of the first day.

The next was show 2 which started with Kanwal Malik’s ‘Mehrunsia' collection of fashion that focused on the concept of luxury and well-known intricate craftsmanship blended in a perfect balance of skill. The next designer was Munib Nawaz who named his collection ‘Untitled’ which represented everything that was unfinished and yet seemed perfect. Reema Ahsan showcased her collection next named after the concept of love and tenderness with fashionable attires following the same concept along with enchanting silhouettes as the undertones.

The first day of the show ended with Zonia Anwaar whose collection named ‘Maysa’ followed the traditional concept of bridal attire and accessories and focused on it with a new innovative undertone and also launched a new section for the men on the fashion show. The colours of the attires were beautiful, vibrant, and filled with bounce and life, making the attires perfect for any occasion during the wedding. Several other celebrities joined the show for seeing the designers and their designs and to add charm and glamour to the floor of the runway.
