It explores their sentimental life before the partition. The series aired a weekly episode on Hum TV, from December 20, 2018, to June 27, 2019, with a total of 27 episodes. Aangan represents the Muslim family of Khameera Illahi, an angry woman who disliked her husband, as he had illegitimate affairs and children. She had five children: two daughters and three sons, Salma, Najma, Mazhar, Azhar, and Zafar. Salma was hopelessly in love with a servant named Subhan. Due to class conflict, she was not allowed to marry the one she loved. She runs away with Subhan, gives birth to a boy, and soon dies of tuberculosis.

Shortly after, Salma's father also dies. Because of this, all brothers decide to give each other share of the haveli. Azhar takes responsibility for his mother, while Mazhar takes responsibility for his sister and nephew. After twenty years, the atmosphere in Mazhar's house remained the same, where Safdar received no respect from Mazhar's wife. Mazhar was financially stable as he worked under the British. She was sent to Aligarh for her studies, while Tehmina, Mazhar's daughters, and Aaliyah lived with him. Tehmina's friend Kusum ran away with a man who then betrayed her, causing her to drown. Azhar's wife and Tehmina's mother decided to marry Jameel to Tehmina. But she was in a relationship with Safdar. Safdar left his house and moved to Aligarh. A few days before the wedding, Tehmina committed suicide as she refused to marry anyone other than Safdar. These tragic incidents are negatively associated with love for Aaliyah, who found it unnecessary.
