Thirty awards were given, and 22 were chosen by public voting. Along with Pakistani residents, the rest of the world, who watch Pakistani entertainment, voted their favourite stars. Among the eight special awards, four were conferred upon British Pakistanis for their achievements, and the remaining four were conferred upon Pakistanis who were outstanding in their field.
