1. Pavithra - Child Artist
Pavithra is a Tamil television child artist and performer. She is also known as Junior Super Star Pavithra. She was born in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The shift from acting to direction is becoming more popular today – with actresses jumping the fence at an increasing rate. Lakshmy Ramakrishna’s first attempt as a director was noticed in ‘Aarohanam’ in 2012 which was lauded by audiences as well as by the critics. The apparent ease with which actor becomes directors is not very popular amongst actresses. Hence, she caught the media attention in India and her second film "Ammini" was based on a 79-year-old woman rag-picker, whom she met in a TV show. When she got this idea, she did not waste her time and narrated the story to producer Ven Govind and felt that the rag-picker woman will remain as a theme of her film. In this film, she also plays a very important role.
Earlier, in 2014, she made another attempt in her directorial venture. She made ‘Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe’ which was based on a journey to Trichy and Karaikal and had dealt with petrol issues witnessed in the society. The film was low budgeted and the film was also appreciated by critics, and could not capture the minds of viewers.
Before making her debut as a director, she had acted in TV serials (Aval in STAR Vijay) and was seen in the reality show ‘Solvathellam Unmai’ in Zee Tamil. She has tried a couple of Tamil films as a supporting actress and even performed extremely well in a film Yuddham Sei, where this noted actress had shaved her head for her lifetime role
Interestingly, the first film that came her way was also by a chance. It was director A. K. Lohithadas, who wanted to use Ramakrishnan's house for shooting his Malayalam film ‘Chakkara Muthu’ (2006). This film gave her first break in a supporting role. Later, she also played Sneha’s mother role in another film and after acting in supporting actress’ role, she stepped behind the camera to direct actors now.
5. Khushbu Sundar
Khushboo or also called Kushboo’s original name is Nakhat Khan. She was born on 29th September’1970 in Mumabai. She completed her schooling at Swami Muktananda High School, Mumbai. Khushboo has 3 brothers. She had a live-in relationship with Tamil actor Prabhu for 4 years and then she married Sundar C. She has two daughters named Avanthika and Ananditha. Khushboo speaks Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English and Marathi languages.
Khushboo is a film and TV actress, TV hostess, producer and a politician. She is mainly known with her acting in south Indian films. She started her acting career in 1976 as child artist in the Kannada film Raja Nanna Raja. She has acted in some Hindi films as child artist. She was introduced as heroine to south with the Telugu film Kaliyuga Pandavulu in 1986. Venkatesh was hero in this film. This film was directed by K.Raghavendra Rao and produced by D.Rama Nayudu. Then she has acted in over 100 films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalayam languages with leading south Indian actors like Kamal Haasan, Prabhu, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Vishnu Vardhan, Mohanlal, Mammootty etc. She became south India superstar. Some of her Telugu films include- Kirai Dada, Shanti Kranti, Chinnodu Poddedu, Pekata Paparao, Stalin, Yama Donga etc. She received 2 Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actress.
Khushboo has acted in some Tamil serials like Sondhame Endrallum, Kalki, Rudra etc. The serial Rudra was dubbed into Telugu language as Rudra. She did anchoring for some Tamil shows like Jackpot, Koteshwari. She did anchoring for the Telugu show Get Ready for ETV Telugu.
Khushboo started a production house after her daughters name and produced some Tamil films like Rendu, Giri, Kalakalappu etc.
