Salanam is a Tamil-language television series that revolves around the life of Raveen, a businessman. In the story he realizes that his workaholic nature has caused a rift within his own family. But despite all his efforts to reconnect with them, he fails repeatedly. With this unique storyline the show became really popular among the masses. The cast for the show includes Varman, Suganthi, Soundarajan, Yuvina, and Vikashini. Families have a complicated relationship. Family members fight, love, and care for each other, but stick together throughout. The show embraces familial bonds and how it’s crucial for each individual. In the first episode, the series introduces Raveen’s family, consisting of Raveen, Shantha, Vijay, and Yazhini.

Vijay shooks everyone by asking Shamala out on a date that very evening. What is Vijay planning? How will the date go? Will Vijay be able to impress her? The rest of the episode deals with that. The show also highlights the emotions involved among the family members when they take actions that hurt the other. Any daughter would be miserable seeing her father becoming an alcoholic. And so happens with Yazhini. Soon, Yazhini confronts Raveen about his habit of coming home drunk every night.
Will Raveen respond angrily? Or will he understand the feelings of his daughter and quit drinking? The third episode deals with that. In one of the exciting episodes, Raveen organizes a family dinner outing. However, things twist when during the dinner, Raveen confronts Shantha for leaving abruptly with Yazhini. What will happen next? The episode deals with that. In conclusion, it’s a heartwarming show that brings out the complexities in every family. While the members fight and create a chaos more often than not, their love and respect for each other remains that same.
